A salon treatment is only part of the plan. After peels, microneedling, mesotherapy or intensive cleansing, the skin can be more reactive, which is why home care should support regeneration for a few days rather than adding more stimuli.

SPF is mandatory

After exfoliating and stimulating treatments, sun protection is one of the most important elements of care. Choose broad-spectrum protection, SPF 30 or higher, and when spending time outdoors, remember to reapply.

When to return to retinol and acids?

There is no single date for every skin. After gentler procedures the break can be shorter, after microneedling or medical peels longer. The most important rule: we return to active ingredients only when the skin does not sting, does not peel excessively and has rebuilt its comfort.

What to use in the first days?

When to contact the salon?

Strong pain, increasing swelling, weeping, infection symptoms, unusual spots, intensified stinging or an allergic reaction require contact with a specialist. Do not try to “wait out” worrying symptoms with home methods.

After every treatment at Studio AP we discuss aftercare. If you do not remember when to return to retinol or acids, it is better to ask or book a cosmetology consultation than to irritate the skin.

Frequently asked questions

When can I wash my face after a treatment?

Gentle cleansing is usually possible on the same day, but the exact recommendations depend on the procedure and are given by the cosmetologist afterwards.

Can I wear make-up after a treatment?

After some procedures make-up is postponed by one or several days so as not to irritate the skin. The time depends on the type of treatment and the skin response.

When can I go back to retinol?

Only when the skin no longer stings or flakes excessively. After gentler treatments the break is shorter, after microneedling and medical peels it is longer.
