The eye area is delicate, thin and very prone to dehydration, swelling and shadows. At the same time it is an area where it is easy to promise too much, because “under-eye circles” can have many causes.
We plan the treatment differently for thin skin, differently for microcirculation, differently for a tear trough, and differently again for allergies or swelling.
Under-eye mesotherapy
Needle mesotherapy of the eye area can be considered when the goal is hydration, nourishment and an improvement in the quality of the thin skin. It is a treatment requiring qualification, because the eye area easily reacts with swelling or bruising.
The effect depends on the preparation, the skin and the series. It is not a treatment for every cause of shadows.
Under-eye carboxytherapy
Under-eye carboxytherapy is sometimes considered for shadows related to microcirculation and a tired appearance of the eye area. If the problem is a deep tear trough, genetic pigmentation or chronic swelling, the effect may be limited.
Home care still matters
- gentle cleansing without rubbing
- SPF also in the eye area, if the product is well tolerated
- moisturising and regenerating creams without irritation
- sleep, hydration and allergy control, if present
- no aggressive acids and retinoids too close to the eye without recommendations
When is a medical consultation needed?
Sudden swelling, eye pain, vision disturbances, asymmetry, a strong allergy, eyelid inflammation or infection symptoms require a medical consultation. A cosmetology treatment does not replace diagnosis.
The best under-eye plan starts with establishing the cause. Only then do we choose whether the skin needs hydration, microcirculation, regeneration or a medical consultation.
Frequently asked questions
Which is better around the eyes: mesotherapy or carboxytherapy?
It depends on the cause. Mesotherapy supports hydration and skin quality, carboxytherapy supports microcirculation. The choice is made after assessing the eye area.
Will these treatments remove eye bags?
Swelling and bags have different causes and do not always respond to cosmetology. With persistent bags a medical consultation is sometimes needed.
Are treatments around the eyes safe?
Yes, with correct qualification. The eye area is delicate, so temporary swelling or bruising is possible, and we tell you about it before the treatment.
