LightSheer Desire laser hair removal uses diode-laser light absorbed by melanin in the hair. Heat reaches the follicle and reduces its ability to produce new hair. As not every hair is in an active growth phase at the same time, one appointment is not enough.

At Studio AP, the LightSheer Desire option is booked by area, from underarms, face and bikini to legs, back, chest with abdomen or arms.

What affects the result?

Hair colour and thickness, contrast with the skin, body area, growth phase and hormonal factors all matter. Very light, grey or red hair contains little melanin and may respond less well. The realistic goal is long-term hair reduction, not a guarantee that no hair will ever regrow.

How should I prepare?

A recent tan, damaged skin, active infection or photosensitising medication may require postponement. Consultation protects the skin and allows settings to reflect its current condition.

What happens afterwards?

Temporary redness, warmth and swelling around follicles may occur. Use gentle care without friction, hot baths or irritating active ingredients. Protect exposed areas with broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher and avoid tanning.

Frequently asked questions

How many treatments are needed?

Six or more visits are often planned, but number and intervals depend on the area, hair and response. Maintenance treatments may be needed later.

Does it hurt?

Brief stinging and warmth are possible. LightSheer uses cooling solutions, while comfort also depends on area, settings and individual sensitivity.
