Men’s skin often has more sebum, tends to be thicker and additionally deals regularly with shaving. This does not mean it needs a complicated routine. The best plan is one that is simple, quick and possible to maintain every day.

The daily minimum

  1. Gentle cleansing in the morning or evening, especially with oily skin and after training.
  2. A moisturiser, ideally light, non-greasy and matched to the skin, not to a “for men” label.
  3. SPF 30 or higher in the morning, especially with outdoor work, discolouration, retinol or treatments.
  4. One active ingredient, for example retinol or niacinamide, if the skin tolerates it and has a specific need.

Shaving without unnecessary irritation

Before shaving, soften the stubble with warm water and use a gentle glide product. Do not press the blade and do not shave the same spot repeatedly if stinging or spots appear. After shaving, a soothing balm without strong alcohol works better.

Which treatments make sense

A plan without pressure

Two or three well-planned visits a year may be enough to keep the skin in better condition, but the frequency depends on the goal, age, lifestyle and the skin’s response. We do not promise the effect of “looking years younger”, but choose a realistic plan.

When does men’s skin need a consultation?

Constant spots after shaving, painful ingrown hairs, intensified oiliness, inflammatory acne or stinging after every cosmetic are a sign that it is worth stopping the guesswork. Sometimes a change in shaving method and a simpler routine is enough, and sometimes a dermatology consultation is needed.
