Redness, vascular lesions and acne reduction
A protocol for vascular and reactive skin. Light is absorbed by haemoglobin in dilated vessels, which helps calm redness and limit the tendency to flush suddenly.
Treatment and recovery
Sensations during treatment
A pulse feels like a brief rubber band flick with warmth; the nose and nostril area tend to be the most sensitive.
Return to everyday activities
Redness and slight swelling usually last up to a day. For a few days we skip the sauna, hot baths, alcohol and intense exercise, which intensify redness.
Treatment plan
Most often 3-5 sessions every 3-4 weeks, followed by maintenance visits. In rosacea the plan is aligned with the doctor's recommendations.
Why does light work on vessels?
In a dilated vessel the main recipient of energy is haemoglobin. The absorbed light converts into heat, the vessel wall contracts and closes, and the body gradually clears the closed vessel. The effect can be visible immediately with single spider veins, while diffuse redness usually needs a series, because we work with a dense network of very fine vessels.
Redness, rosacea and reactive skin
The treatment supports skin that flushes with emotion, exercise, temperature changes or food, as well as skin with persistent redness on the cheeks, nose and chin. In rosacea, light can be part of cosmetology care and a support for treatment led by a doctor, but it does not replace diagnosis or dermatological therapy. Active inflammation, a recent flare or photosensitising medication mean postponing the appointment.
Which area option should you choose?
“Cheeks” is the smallest scope, useful for redness limited to one zone and for a first session. “Neck/décolletage” covers a common area of redness in sensitive skin. The “face” option takes 40 minutes and covers the whole face including the nose and chin, while the options extended to the neck and décolletage are chosen when redness does not stop at the jawline.
Frequently asked questions about redness reduction
Can a closed vessel come back?
A closed vessel does not rebuild itself, but the vascular tendency remains and new changes may appear over time. That is why maintenance visits are planned after a series, along with limiting the factors that intensify redness.
How does the skin look right after the treatment?
Redness and slight swelling lasting from a few hours to a day are typical. Fine darker lines may appear around the vessels and fade within several days.
Treatment variants
Benefits
- Calming redness and the tendency to flush
- Work on dilated vessels in a chosen zone
- Scope from a single area to face, neck and décolletage
Who it is for
For vascular and reactive skin with persistent redness, visible vessels or a tendency to flush suddenly. Also as cosmetology support in rosacea managed by a doctor.
What results to expect
Redness usually becomes calmer and vessels less visible; the skin looks more even. The scale of improvement depends on the severity, the area and the number of sessions.
